Farm-to-table at The Laurel

For those who don't know what farm-to-table looks like for the "wedding" industry... here is J. Scott Event's take on it! We had A BLAST creating, dreaming, and getting inspired by our natural surroundings to come up with the designs for this stunning wedding. To use the world "floral design" would be an understatement. We found fresh veggies at local farmers markets, we used fresh herbs as accents on our table scapes, we munched on fresh berries as we were decorating with them, and let's not forget the antique find of the cow bell we just had to add to this love story. From each layer of the stunning cakes being even more yummy then the one before, this farm-to-table wedding was a time for us to dream, step out of some of our "wedding comfort zones", but more importantly guests were drooling over the design and overall feel of this out of the box wedding!

On a side note, one of our favorite take-away ideas from this feature is the idea of a different within the same theme. Getting to run wild with a few different table designs was a dream come true for this wedding planner/event and floral designer!

We are thrilled to feature an idea many of us are seeing in the restaurant world, but that’s new to weddings: farm-to-table! We had the most amazing vendor team, which is listed below for you to take a peek around at their websites as well!  We absolutely adore the farm-to-table theme that although it’s rustic, it’s still elegant.
